The 2024 National Children's Month Celebration emphasizes a significant need: to protect the rights and welfare of children. Violence against children remains very prevalent in the country, often manifested in various ways-violence through abuse, neglect, and exploitation. This is an issue that calls for collaboration from families, communities, and the government in ensuring that the child can grow up safely in their own country. Normalization of violence within several communities makes combating violence a massive task. A lot of harmful practices are passed down from generation to generation, for instance, corporal punishment. Awareness campaigns and education programs teaching positive discipline and children's rights will be essential.
